Flying tadpoles used to be the only animals in the world. Bong-Bong was a special one amongst them. One day he lost his Teddy Bear so he cried endlessly but Yogi Bear appeared and after weeks Bong-Bong didn’t cry anymore. His cries can still be heard when it’s quiet though.

Sarimin was depressed and wanted to kill herself with a knife but she got scared because it was sharp. She wanted to burn herself but she had no oil and match. Then she was going to drink baygon before knowing it had bad taste. In the end she decided not to kill herself.

When I was a child, my mother gave me an Elmo doll. I had played with it a lot when she finally gave it to my young niece. This broke my heart and I cried all day, begging her to give it back, but in vain. I had grown up.

Tommy had a SUV with a 4x4 logo. Later, a hobo examined the logo. He said, ”Stupid!”. Then he carved a “=16”. When Tommy came back, he fixed it. It happened repeatedly. Then he stuck a decorative “16”. When he came back, there was a big carving that said “GOOD!”

W.S Mallaby died at Jembatan Merah in 1945. He was a famous governor, who ordered to kill all Indonesians in the battle of Surabaya.While crossing the bridge with his army, he was killed by Indonesians. Surabaya then became the City of Heroes because a famous governor died in battle.

I was born in France but lived most of my life travelling around Canada following my father who was in the Canadian airforce. It's probably where I got my love for travelling and my interest in discovering different cultures. I arrived in Indonesia in 2001 and I've been in Surabaya for a total of over 6 years with a few breaks in Africa, Europe and South Sulawesi.
